Position: Financial Analyst IV

Location: Silver Spring, MD (or surrounding areas DC and VA)

Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“JPS”) is currently seeking qualified and motivated professional for the position of Financial Analyst IV.

Job Description:
Education: B.A. or B.S. degree.
General Experience: six to eight years of financial management experience.
Specialized Experience: Experience in financial management in a Federal Government environment.
 
Functions:
  • Systematically integrates business, cost estimating and budget management processes to ensure the efficient stewardship of public funds.
  • Possesses an understanding of the budget allocation, execution, and administration process.
  • Has the ability to monitor and track obligation and expenditure of funds, detect, reconcile and remedy fiscal discrepancies, and provide cost effective, insightful reporting to decision makers.
  • Must be able to assess products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles and multi-tiered system application standards.
  • Cognizant of interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or later.
  • May be familiar with activity based costing, business case analysis and outsourcing requirements.
U.S. Citizenship: Must be able to successfully pass a Federal Government level background check.
